About Me
My name is Alexander James Begg and I was born on October
30, 1985. I currently live in an apartment in Los Angeles,
California (Mar Vista, West L.A.), and I am majoring in Media
Arts & Animation at The
Art Institute of California - Los Angeles, in Santa Monica,
California. I grew up in La Puente, an eastern suburb of
Los Angeles, and I started doing animation on my own since before
high school and took an animation course my last two years of high
school. I am currently working with a friend at a visual effects
place in Hollywood, California doing motion graphics for TV shows, award shows, etc.
I am a producer of two films, I am an Executive Producer
of a student film made in high school called Locker
767: The First Semester, finished at the end of 2003, that
was made on almost no budget and sold many DVDs and won awards at
some film festivals. The other I donated money to and got a Producer
title, it is to raise money for the Global Women Fund, it is an
IMAX film that will premiere in Hollywood in 2006 called
The 1 Second Film.
Outside of the industry I do a lot of volunteer community work
and I am an Eagle Scout and Assistant Scoutmaster
in the Boy Scouts of America. I help staff and organize many
camps and events, and I am an active member of the Order of the Arrow,
Scouting's national honor society.
